Summary
Horse serum incubated in a mixture with 10 to 1000 volumes of normal canine serum, shows a fairly rapid and consistent destruction (or total denaturization) of proteins of full horse protein specificity, accompanied by an initial increase and subsequent gradual decrease in proteins intermediary in specificity between horse and dog.
These intermediary test tube products are apparently identical with the metaphorical “hybrid” specificities demonstrable in the canine circulation after intravenous injection with horse proteins.
