Abstract
Rabbits inoculated intravenously with a single high dose of purified papovavirus SV40 synthesized antibodies to tumor or T antigen. The antibody activity against the T antigen was associated with 19S and 7S immunoglobulins. These rabbits also synthesized antibodies to viral structural antigens. However, the rabbits inoculated with a low dose of virus synthesized antibodies to viral structural antigen only. Restimulation of rabbits producing only antibody to viral antigens failed to induce the synthesis of T antibody.
