Abstract
The design of a new immunochemical assay, the neutralization of inhibition (N-I) test, for the detection of C1 has been described. The sensitivity, specificity and reproducibility of the N-I test make it possible to detect nanogram quantities of hemolytically active and inactive guinea pig and human C1 with an error in the measurement of about ± 5%.
