Abstract
The distribution of five antigenic determinants of human Bence Jones proteins in the light chains of several other species is described. It is shown that three of these antigenic determinants identify in several species a small group of cross-reacting light chains. These observations are discussed in view of the possible theories concerning the genetic control of these proteins.
