A study of sera from children convalescent from proven dysentery showed a wide range in the 50 per cent protective volumes, 0.0004 ml to 0.1 ml.

The agglutinative titers of these sera also varied widely, from 640 to 0.

The most protective sera were usually obtained from the older children.

All sera containing agglutinins were from the older children.
