On the cover: Histopathological analysis of Pseudomonas aeruginosa-induced chronic pneumonia. The bronchial involvement was characterized by massive granulocytic infiltration or by macrophagic infiltration, bronchial wall disruption and parenchyma invasion by bacteria. The parenchyma was infiltrated by leukocytes. Finally, hyperplasia of the bronchus-associated lymphoid tissue was observed in most bronchi of involved lobes. Moalli, F., M. Paroni, T. Véliz Rodriguez, F. Riva, N. Polentarutti, B. Bottazzi, S. Valentino, S. Mantero, M. Nebuloni, A. Mantovani, A. Bragonzi, and C. Garlanda. 2011. The therapeutic potential of the humoral pattern recognition molecule PTX3 in chronic lung infection caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa. J. Immunol. 186: 5425–5434.
