On the cover: Recombinant globular domains of collagen VI induce membrane disruption. Streptococcus pyogenes bacteria were treated with recombinant collagen VI fragments and permeabilization was visualized by using scanning electron microscopy. Extensive membrane disruption and leakage of intracellular contents are observed in the presence of these proteins. Abdillahi, S. M., T. Maaß, G. Kasetty, A. A. Strömstedt, M. Baumgarten, R. Tati, S. L. Nordin, B. Walse, R. Wagener, A. Schmidtchen, and M. Mörgelin. 2018. Collagen VI contains multiple host defense peptides with potent in vivo activity. J. Immunol. 201: 1007–1020.
