“The AAI has been and is the premier immunology professional organization for basic and mechanistic immunology research, and its flagship journal, the Journal of Immunology (JI), has focused on various aspects of immunology research, including clinical and translational immunology. Journals published by professional societies provide a high level of scholarship, while providing an avenue for promoting research and translational studies within the society. The goal for the Clinical and Translational section of JI, for the next 5 years, will be to promote JI as a journal of choice for those investigators engaged in human immunology and clinical/translational immunology research, while ensuring that thorough and mechanistic clinical studies and reports are published to the benefit of all in the field.”
