Purified Ly-49A/TCR-SFE (Ly-49A+) or TCR-SFE (Ly-49A−) T cells were stimulated with SFE peptide and Dd or Db APC.
Time in culture. Analyses performed on freshly isolated T cells (only) are designated “0 h” except in the bottom section of profiles where “0 h“ indicates analyses performed on T cells following primary stimulation with Db APC for 72 h with a subsequent 5 day rest period in 20 U/ml rhIL-2.
Data are mean percent positive (±SD) of CD4+/Vβ8+ T cells obtained from at least five independent experiments. The percentage of CD4+/Vβ8+ cells expressing low levels of CD62L are indicated as CD62Llow (as in Fig. 2 C).
Mean values are significantly different compared to Ly-49A− T cells and parallel control conditions using the Student t test (p < 0.05).
Cells were cultured as in the top section of profiles with the addition of 50 U/ml rhIL-2. Data are from at least three independent experiments.
Purified Ly-49A/TCR-SFE (Ly-49A+) or TCR-SFE (Ly-49A−) T cells were cultured with SFE peptide and Db APC (primary stimulation) for 72 h, and then allowed to rest for 5 days in 20 U/ml rhIL-2 prior to secondary Ag challenge. Secondary stimulation was performed as outlined in the top section of profiles. Data are from at least three independent experiments.
