Age-matched naive and 6-wk LiSIR2+/− mutant-infected mice were challenged or not with WT virulent clone (×108) and sacrificed after 14 days postinfection. Cells were stimulated with SLA (50 μg/ml) or ConA (6 μg/ml) for 72 h and the levels of secreted IFN-γ and IL-10 were measured by ELISA as described in Materials and Methods. The IFN-γ and IL-10 values represented under Con A stimulation are in ng/ml and those represented under SLA stimulation are in pg/ml. The corresponding IFN-γ /IL-10 ratio is shown for each group of mice. The data represent means ± SD from triplicate cultures of four animals analyzed individually and are representative of three independent experiments.
